CONTROLS, SWITCHES, AND GAUGES
Crane Controls
Brake Pedal
See Figure 3-1 for the following procedure.
Pressing down on the brake pedal applies the service
brakes, which slows and stops the crane travel movement.
The pedal must be depressed before shifting the
transmission into gear.
Accelerator Pedal
See Figure 3-1 for the following procedure.
Controls travel speed and the hydraulic working speeds of
the crane functions. Pressing down on the accelerator pedal
increases the engine speed. The pedal is spring-loaded to
return to idle speed.
Travel Direction Lever
See Figure 3-1 for the following procedure.
Selects the forward and reverse travel directions of the
crane.

The gear selector switch shifts the transmission to any one of
four gear ratios.

Turn Signal/Windshield Wiper/Horn Lever
See Figure 3-1 for the following procedure.
Lever up – LEFT turn signal lights on.
Lever centered – turn signal lights OFF.
Lever down – RIGHT turn signal lights on.
See Figure 3-2 for the following procedure.
The wiper switch has three settings; O, I, II. Rotate the switch
to operate the wipers at the desired speed.
Press on the end of the switch to operate the windshield
washer.
Press the button on the end of lever to sound the horn.
