Swing Control
See Figure 3-3 for the following procedure.
The swing control operates the boom/mast rotation function.
The boom and mast will rotate continuously through a full
360° circle.
See Boom Swing Operation on page 3-20.
Telescope Control
See Figure 3-3 for the following procedure.
The telescope control extends and retracts the boom
sections.
See Boom Telescope Operation on page 3-22.
Hoist Control
See Figure 3-3 for the following procedure.
The hoist control raises and lowers the hook block or the
downhaul weight.
See Hoist Operation on page 3-26.
Drum Rotation Indicator
See Figure 3-3 for the following procedure.
The “thumb thumper” under the hoist control handle cover
will move up and down to signal the operator by feel that the
hoist drum is being operated in either direction.
Boom Control
See Figure 3-3 for the following procedure.
The boom control raises or lowers the boom assembly.
See Boom Lift Operation on page 3-24.
Outrigger Controls
See Figure 3-4 for the following procedure.
This set of controls extends and retracts the outriggers. The
back up alarm will come on when any outrigger control is
being operated.
See Operating Outrigger Controls on page 3-16.
Warning Alarms
Two warning alarms are provided:
Minimum wrap/transmission alarm which comes on when:
• There are three wraps of wire rope on the hoist drum
• There is a transmission speed sensor fault (see Shifting
Gears (Travel Speed) on page 3-12)
Back up/outrigger alarm (at rear of carrier) which comes on
when:
• The crane is being backed up
• The outrigger controls are being operated
