1.5 Qualifications of personnel
Requirements These operating instructions are not a training manual for beginners.
All descriptions are written explicitly for crane operators who have been
trained to operate truck cranes.
Personnel in training may only operate the truck crane under supervision.
Only reliable personnel may operate or carry out work on the truck crane.
The prerequisites which you, as crane operator, must fulfil are described in
the
Operating instructions of the crane delivered and in the Safety manual.
Only experienced personnel who are familiar with the valid accident pre-
vention regulations may be authorised to sling loads and instruct the crane
operator.
Only trained personnel may be used to maintain the truck crane;

1.6 Safety instructions for working with
the lattice extension
In addition to the following specifications, also observe the safety instruc-
tions for crane operation in the
Operating instructions of the crane delivered.
Use the appropriate access aids when carrying out overhead rigging or
maintenance work. Do not use parts of the machine as access aids.
