4. Navigate to the Continuous, Time or Volume Mode screens.
5. Press and hold PRIME to prime the pump. Priming will stop when PRIME is released.
6. Tap CALIBRATE from the Continuous Mode Screen or tap EDIT and then CALIBRATE
from either the Volume Mode Screen or the Time Mode Screen. e Pump Head Calibration Screen will
be displayed.
7. Tap HEAD SIZE. e Head Size Screen will be displayed.
a. Select the desired pump head size from the list of available options.
b. Tap CONFIRM to save or CANCEL to discard changes and return to the previous screen.
8. Tap CALIBRATION VOLUME. e Calibration Volume Screen will be displayed.
a. Enter the desired calibration volume using the onscreen keypad. NOTE: e default volume or great-
er will ensure the best calibration.
b. Tap CONFIRM to save or CANCEL to discard changes and return to the previous screen.
9. Tap FLOW RATE. e Calibration Flow Rate Screen will be displayed.
a. Enter the desired ow rate using the onscreen keypad.
b. Tap CONFIRM to save or CANCEL to discard changes and return to the previous screen.
NOTE: e drive will adjust the displayed ow rate after calibration is complete.
10. Tap START to begin calibration. NOTE: Calibration progress will be displayed on the touchscreen.
11. When calibration is complete use the onscreen keypad to enter the measured volume of uid from the
tube outlet container.
12. Tap CONFIRM to complete calibration and return to the previous mode screen. Calibration
Complete should now be displayed to indicate that calibration has been completed for the current
pump head size, tube volume, and ow rate.
NOTE:
• e estimated accuracy for the selected calibration settings is shown in the Calibration Strength bar on
the Pump Head Calibration Screen. Calibration accuracy can be improved by using a larger calibration
volume and/or altering the ow rate.
• For the best accuracy, calibration should be performed at the anticipated ow rate.
• Calibration settings are retained and transferred to other mode screens when entering or leaving the Pump
Head Calibration Screen.
• If the drive is stopped during calibration the calibration will be discarded and the previous mode screen
will be displayed. Empty the container before restarting the procedure.
• Calibration time at the maximum allowable ow rate (default max ow rate) is approximately 10 seconds.
Calibration time at the minimum allowable ow rate (approximately 4% of the maximum ow rate) is 4
minutes.
• Minimum and maximum ow rates will change after calibration due to a recalculation of the volume of
uid per pump revolution.
• Steps 6–12 can be repeated as necessary to optimize the accuracy of the pump head calibration.
