Damaged cylinder seals and contaminated hydraulic fl uid can result from paint-
ing the polished portion of the cylinder rod. To prevent damage, protect the
exposed polished portion of the cylinder rod while painting.
CAUTION
TOUCH UP GALVANIZED FINISH
• If bare metal is exposed on galvanized portions of the Liftgate, touch up the galvanized
fi nish. To maintain the protection provided by the original galvanized fi nish, MAXON
recommends cold galvanize spray.
