NOTE: When ordering a cable for the serial port, make sure you specify the correct
gender.
The HD-26 female connector automatically detects the interface and gender according to
the type of HD-26 custom cable that is installed. For example, with a V.35/V.11 DTE cable
the port will select V.35/V.11 electrical characteristics and DTE. Software configuration of
these characteristics is thus not required.
For details concerning the custom serial cable, refer to “Custom Serial Cable
Specifications” on page 5-7.
