6.4 Fault Diagnosis
When two cups of coffee/espresso are being prepared at the
same time, the cups are filled unevenly.
 Appliance is not level.
- Level the appliance.
 Coffee nozzle is dirty.
- Clean the coffee nozzle.
Brew Unit Can’t be Removed from the Appliance
 The brew unit is not in the starting (home) position.
- Reset the brew unit to the starting (home) position.
 The brew unit is jammed and cannot be removed by resetting
the appliance (i.e. shutting the door and turning on the power).
- Perform the manual removal procedure.
Inspect the brew unit and/or drives to locate fault.
Brew Unit Cannot be Installed
 The part marked PRESS was pressed during installation of the
Brew Unit..
- Do not press the part marked PRESS when installing the Brew
Unit; this only applies during Brew Unit removal.
 The Brew Unit is not in the starting (home position).
- Perform a manual resetting of the Brew Unit.
 The drive shaft is not in the starting (home) position.
- Reset the Brew Unit to the starting (home) position via the
Service Mode.
- Carefully inspect the Brew Unit and/or drives to locate fault
(i.e. defective switch etc...)
