Observe the following recommendations for the secure operation of the
product.
▪ Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to the device.
▪ Only use the device within an ESP (electronic security perimeter).
▪ Ensure that the device is only operated by trained personnel who are fa-
miliar with IT security.
▪ All protocol interfaces (ModbusRTU, ModbusTCP, DNP3TCP and
IEC61850-8-1MMS) only have read-access to the MSENSE®DGA 2/3.
Changing parameters or data through them is not possible.
▪ Access to the parameterization via the MESSKO®MSET parameteriza-
tion software can be protected through the use of passwords. Change the
passwords regularly.
