Installing VirtualBench
You must install VirtualBench with NI-DAQ driver software.
Note
National Instruments recommends you close other applications before you install
VirtualBench.
Complete these steps to install VirtualBench:
1. Insert your VirtualBench Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Wait several seconds. On most computers, the AutoRun utility on the
CD automatically launches the VirtualBench Installation CD
dialog box.
3. If the VirtualBench Installation CD dialog box does not appear, use
the Start button in the Windows taskbar to select Run and type
d
:\setup in the input box, where
d
is your CD-ROM drive.
Click OK.
4. Click Install VirtualBench in the VirtualBench Installation CD
dialog box.
Note
Read the VirtualBench readme.txt file on the VirtualBench Installation CD for the
latest information about installing and using VirtualBench.
What the Setup Program Installs
The VirtualBench setup program installs the following virtual instruments,
with online help for each instrument:
Oscilloscope (Scope)
Dynamic signal analyzer (DSA)
Function generator (FG)
Logger
Arbitrary waveform generator (Arb)
Waveform editor (Arb)
Device calibrator (CAL)
Counter
