Installation (IDE File Devices)
1. See the section “Preparing Your System for Upgrade” on page 137.
2. Pull out the server from the rack.
3. Remove the drive cover. See “Drive Cover” on page 141.
4. Unlock the lever of the optical disc drive, and take it out of the chassis.

Caution
■ Do not touch any other part than release lever when remov-
ing the optical disc drive or your fingers may get caught.
■ When an optional USB floppy disk drive is installed, pull the
device carrier half-way out, and disconnect the USB cable.
Pulling the device carrier completely out while the USB cable
being connected may damage the USB connector.
