Installing and Removing a Redundant Hot-Swap
Fan
Your server can include four optional redundant hot-swap fans.

Installation
1. See the section “Preparing Your System for Upgrade” on page 137.
2. Pull out the server from the rack.
3. Remove the drive cover. See Drive Cover” on page 141.
4. Locate the installation slot of your choice.
5. Insert the hot-swap fan into the slot with its labeled side facing the rear of the
server until it locks.
