Towprocedure-engineruns
1.Engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Blockthewheelswithwheelchocks.
3.IfapplicableplacethemanualtransmissionleverintheNEUTRALposition.
4.PlacethedirectioncontrolleverinNEUTRAL.
5.PlacetheFour-WheelDrive(4WD)switchintheoffposition,ifequipped.
6.Raisealltoolsandattachmentsofftheground.
7.Attacharigiddrawbartothedisabledmachine.
8.Attachtherigiddrawbartothetowingmachine.Makesurethatthetowingmachinehasenoughpowerandbraking
abilitytomoveandstopbothmachines.
9.Removethewheelchocks.
10.Releasetheparkingbrake.Iftheparkingbrakewillnotdisengage(foranyreason),manuallydisengagethe
parkingbrake.See“Disableparkingbrake”7-156.
11.T owthedisabledmachineamaximumspeedof2.4km/h(1.5mph).
Towprocedure-enginedoesnotrun
1.Blockthewheelswithwheelchocks.
2.Ifapplicable,placethemanualtransmissionleverintheNEUTRALposition.
3.PlacethedirectioncontrolleverinNEUTRAL.
4.Attacharigiddrawbartothedisabledmachine.
5.Attachtherigiddrawbartothetowingmachine.Makesurethetowingmachinehasenoughpowerandbraking
abilitytomoveandstopbothmachines.
6.Disconnectthereardriveshaft(Two-WheelDrivemachines)orboththefrontandreardriveshafts(Four-Wheel
Drivemachines).
NOTE:ThemachineisequippedwithSpring-Applied,Hydraulic-Release(SAHR)parkingbrakeintegratedinthe
transmission.Theparkingbrakeremainsengagediftheengineisdisabled.Manualdisengagementoftheparking
brakeisnotrequiredfortowingwiththedriveshaftsremoved.
7.Removethewheelchocks.
8.Towthedisabledmachineamaximumspeedof2.4km/h(1.5mph).
