Preparationforuseafterstorage
DonotstarttheengineuntilSteps1through12havebeendone.
1.Changethefuelltersandllthefueltakeifrequired.
2.Tightenthecoolingsystemdrainvalves.
3.Filltheenginecoolingsystem.
4.Checktheconditionoftheenginedrivebelt.Replace
ifrequired.
5.Checktheengineoillevel.
6.Checkthehydraulicoillevel.
7.Checkthetransmissionoillevel.
8.Lubricatethemachineatallgreasettings.
9.Usepetroleumbasesolventandremovetherustand
corrosionpreventivefromthehydrauliccylinderrods,
valvespoolsandanyotherlocationthepreventative
wasused.
10.Installanewbatteryorconrmthebatteryischarged.
11.FilltheDieselExhaustFluid(DEF)/AdBlue®tankto
aminimumof20%level.
12.Ifstoredlongerthanfourmonths,changetheDEF
supplymodulelterasshownon7-116.
13.Bleedtheairfromthefuelsystem.Referto7-128in
thismanual.
14.Starttheengine.Itisimportantthatyoureviewthe
“STARTINGTHEUNIT”chapteronPage4-5inthis
manual.
