2.Inspecttheairlterhousingandcomponentsfordam-
age.
3.Releasetheclipsthatsecuretheairlterhousingcover
inplace.

4.Removeandinspecttheprimarylter.
A.Replacethelterifyounoticedamagetothesides
oredges.Ifyoudonotnoticedamage,continueto
thenextstep.
B.Examinetheinsideofthelter.Ifthelterhasdust
anddebrisontheinside,replacethelter.Ifthe
lteriscleancontinuetothenextstep.
C.Lightlytaptheendsofthelteragainstthepalm
ofyourhand.Nevertaptheendsagainstahard
surface.
D.Shinealightinsidethelter.Replacethelterif
youseelightspotsordeterioratedareas.Ifno
damageisapparent,usethesamelter.
