Tomakeupwardgearratiochanges
1.Pressandholdthebutton(2)onthegearshiftlever(1)
whilemovingtheleverfromalowergeartoahigher
gear.
2.Releasethebuttonandallowtheunittogainengine
speedandgroundspeed.
3.Repeattheprocedureifnecessary.
Tomakedownwardgearratiochanges
1.Reducetheenginespeed.
2.Pressandholdthebutton(2)onthegearshiftlever(1)
whilemovingtheleverfromahighergeartoalower
gear.
3.Releasethebuttonandallowtheunittoadjusttothe
enginespeedandgroundspeed.
4.Repeattheprocedureifnecessary.
NOTICE:Operatingthemachineinatoohighgearor
underatooheavyloadwillcausethetorqueconverter
toslipexcessivelyandoverheat.Ifthemachineisover-
loaded,theenginespeedwillnotexceedarangeof1800
2200RPMatmaximumacceleratorandthetorquecon-
verterwill“stall”bringingthemachinetoacompletestop.
If“stall”doesoccur,thereisstillsufcientenginepower
tooperatetheloaderattachment;however,topreventthe
transmissionfromoverheating,eitherreducetheloadon
themachineorselectalowergearratio.
NOTICE:Operatingata“stall”formorethan20scan
causethetransmissiontooverheatandcanpossiblydam-
agethetransmission.Ifthetransmissionoverheats,the
needle(3)reachestheredeld.Shiftboththedirection
controlleverandthegearshiftlevertoneutral.Lettheen-
ginerunidle(1000RPM)untiltransmissionoilcoolsdown
enoughtohavetheneedle(3)returntocorrectposition.
Oncetheneedleisreturnedtoitsposition,alloperations
canberesumed.
