6.8 ETD (Endo Thermo Disinfectors)
• ETD series are intended to clean and disinfect endoscopes and their
accessories.
• When cleaning and disinfecting the endoscope with ETD, use adapters,
basket and configuration compatible with the endoscope model. Table
6.9 shows the accessories required when ETD is used.
• Follow the instruction manual for ETD series on necessary manual
cleaning steps. If the endoscopes and accessories are not adequately
cleaned, further reprocessing will be ineffective.
• For the other details, refer to the instruction manual for ETD.
• The detergents and disinfectants shown in Table 6.10 were used for
validation.
