Cleaning the distal end
Dirt or water droplets on the objective lens of the distal end
Grasping the rigid portion of the distal end, use a clean, soft piece of gauze or a cotton swab to
wipe off the dirt or water droplets.
You could also use the brush to brush away dirt and water droplets.
Best results may be obtained by using a commercially available absolute ethanol or isopropyl
alcohol.
Build up of dirt on the optical adapter positioning groove or screw threads of the distal
end
Use the brush provided with the cleaning kit to brush away built up dirt.
Note that insufficient cleaning may result in a loss of water tightness between the optical adapter
and the distal end.

Cleaning the optical adapter
Dirt or water droplets on the outer surface of the optical adapter
Use a piece of clean, soft gauze or cotton swab to wipe off dirt and water.
Use the brush to brush away dirt accumulated in the groove.
Press a piece of soft gauze or paper that is soaked with an abundant amount of commercially
available dehydrated ethanol or isopropyl alcohol against the front of the optical adapter.
Press a dry piece of soft gauze of paper against it to absorb the dehydrated ethanol or isopropyl
alcohol.
Dirt or water droplets on the inner surface of the optical adapter
Perform cleaning following the steps from until no
dirt is attached to the cotton bud. Use the brush to brush away
dirt accumulated in the groove.
Also, for thorough cleaning, turn the optical adapter while doing
(2) and (3).
Best results can be obtained using commercially available
absolute ethanol or isopropyl alcohol.
NOTE
Do not clean the optical adapter under running water. Otherwise, the optical adapter may
be damaged
