Using the battery
The remaining battery level is shown by the battery indicator on the LCD monitor.
■ Loading the battery to the base unit
Follow the steps below to load the battery.
① Slide the release knob of the battery compartment door
to open.
② Insert the battery while paying attention to the orientation
of the battery. Check that the battery is locked in place
and close the compartment door.
Confirm that the battery compartment door is locked.

Be sure to recharge the battery before using it for the first time after purchase or after it has
not been used for a long period.

In general, the battery performance is degraded as the ambient temperature drops. Note
that the battery performance degraded due to the low temperature recovers when the
temperature rises to a normal level.

A full charge will provide approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (in general) of continuous
operation. The actual operating time depends on the charging method, operating
environments or setting conditions of this instrument. It is recommended to prepare multiple
spare batteries if long hours of battery-powered operations are expected. The normal battery
charging time is approximately 3 hours (in general).

For information on charging the battery by using the battery charger (optional), refer to the
instruction manual provided with the battery charger.

The battery is a consumable item.
■ Removing the battery
Remove the battery by moving the tab at the battery
insertion slot in the direction indicated by the arrow.
