Measurement
1 While displaying the spot ranging screen or the view screen (image recorded in the
binocular view), press the [MEAS/OK] joystick.
The measurement method selection screen is displayed.
TIP
Acquire multiple images with different view points, and measure them.
Check to ensure that the position of measurement on the captured image is consistent.
The still images recorded in the monocular view cannot be measured.
2 Select a measurement method.
Select the measurement method to display the measurement screen.
For more details on the methods of measurement, refer to “Measurement method types”
(page 91).
3 Specify the measurement point and confirm the corresponding point.
Specify the measurement points or reference points in the left image area.
The corresponding points (points in the right image area corresponding to measurement
points or reference points specified in the left image area) are displayed in the right image
area.
Confirm that positions of measurement points or reference points (in the left image area)
are same as positions of corresponding points (in the right image area).
4 Record the measurement results.
Long-press the [FRZ/REC] button to record the image with the measurement results.
5 Exit from measurement.
Press the [LIVE] button to display the measurement exit confirmation dialog. And select
[YES] to exit from stereo measurement. Select [NO] to return to the measurement screen.
Or select “EXIT MEASUREMENT” in the measurement menu screen and select “EXECUTE”
to exit the stereo measurement and return to the live screen. Select “CANCEL” to return to
the measurement screen.
Checking measurement values
The measurement values must be checked before and after measurement.
See “Checking measurement values” (page 82) for details about operations.
