Making scaler measurements
Attaching the optical adapter
1 Follow “Attaching and removing the optical adapter” (page 28) to mount an optical
adapter that can be used for scaler measurement.
2 Select an optical adapter from the menu.
See “Selecting an optical adapter” (page 36).
TIP
Check “Optical adapter specifications” (page 113) for an optical adapter that can be used.
Steps for making scaler measurements
1 Start up
Press the [MEAS/OK] joystick while the image to be measured is displayed.
2 Specify the reference points
Align the cursors respectively with the two ends of an object in the image for which the
length is known, followed by pressing the [MEAS/OK] joystick.
3 Set the reference length
Enter the known length (reference length) accordingly by pushing the [MEAS/OK] joystick
up/down or to the left/right. Press the [MEAS/OK] joystick to confirm the input.
4 Specify the measuring points
Align the cursor with both ends of the object to measure and press the [MEAS/OK] joystick.
