adapter
Are there dirt or water droplets on the outer surface of the
optical adapter or the objective lens in the optical adapter?
See “Storage and
maintenance” (page 102).
Continued use in this condition creates the risk of damage
to the optical adapter and/or distal end.
Any deformities or foreign objects in the connecting screw
thread of the optical adapter?
Note that insufficient cleaning may result in a loss of water
tightness between the optical adapter and the distal end.
Are the components of the optical adapter loose?
Never use the unit if any looseness is found.
Otherwise, the loose parts may fall off.
Did you check measurement values before and after the
stereo measurement?
(Stereo measurement only)
See “Stereo measurement
function (only applicable
to GX (stereo
measurement))
(page 74).
LCD monitor Any surface cracks or other abnormalities on the screen?
TIP
The LCD monitor is manufactured based on
precision technologies. The LCD monitor may
contain pixels that do not light (visible as black
dots) or light permanently (visible as bright
dots). This does not indicate a defect or
malfunction of the product.
Replacement required.
Contact Olympus.
Any fingerprints or other soiling on the screen? See “Storage and
maintenance” (page 102).
Carrying case Any damage, looseness or other irregularities on the exterior,
handle, latch, extendable handle, caster, or other parts of the

insertion tube, base unit or scope unit to be damaged or
malfunctioned.
