Exchanging Data with the CPU Unit Section 6-5
6-5-5 I/O Refresh Data Allocations
Special I/O Unit Area
Allocation and Contents
I/O refresh data for the Analog I/O Unit is exchanged according to the alloca-
tions in the Special I/O Unit Area. Analog input converted values and analog
output set values are exchanged with the CPU Unit at I/O refresh.
Note 1. The Special I/O Unit Area words that are occupied by the Analog I/O Unit
are set using the unit number switch on the front panel of the Unit. Refer to
6-3-2 Unit Number Switch for details on the method used to set the unit
number switch.
2. If two or more Special I/O Units are assigned the same unit number, a
“UNIT No. DPL ERR” error (in the Programming Console) will be generat-
ed (A40113 will turn ON) and the PLC will not operate.
