Allocations to Slave Units Section 5-2
• Participation Flags and Communications Error Flags: Participation and
error flags for applicable Slave Units.
Status The status of the Master Unit and the entire network are stored here.
Note The value of +m depends on the communications mode as follows: The value
is +16 for communications mode 0, +32 for mode 1, +64 for mode 2, +48 for
mode 3, and +0 for mode 8.

00 Communications
Error Flag
OFF: Normal
ON: Error
Turns ON when a communications error occurs at
even one applicable Slave Unit. (See note.)
Note This applies to all Slave Units if SW4 (REGS)
on the Master Unit is turned OFF when the
power is turned ON. If SW4 is turned ON when
the power is turned ON, then this applies to
registered Slave Units only.
01 Registration Table
Verification Error
Flag
Enabled only in Registration Table Enable Mode, i.e.,
when SW4 (REGS) is turned ON on the Master Unit
when the power is turned ON.
OFF: Normal
ON: Verification error
Turns ON if the actual Slave Unit node addresses and
corresponding Slave Unit models do not agree with
the information in the Registration Table when the
power is turned ON.
Note Remote I/O communications will start even if
this flag is ON.
02 Communications
Error Communi-
cations Stop Flag
OFF: Normal, or SW3 (ESTP) on the Master Unit is
turned OFF (Communications Error Communications
Stop Mode disabled).
ON: Error. SW3 (ESTP) on the Master Unit is turned
ON (Communications Error Communications Stop
Mode enabled) and remote I/O communications were
stopped because of a communications error.
Once this flag turns ON, it remains ON until the power
is cycled or the Unit is restarted.
03 Slave Unit Dupli-
cated Address
Error Flag
OFF: Normal
ON: Error (The same node address is set for more
than one Slave Unit, the same node address area is
being used by more than one Slave Unit, or a different
type of Slave Unit is participating at the same address
after the original Slave Unit left the network.)
Note Remote I/O communications will start even if
this flag is ON.
04 Repeater Unit
