Connecting an AV Component without HDMI Jack Mounted
This is a connection example of an AV component unequipped with an HDMI
jack. For example, when video input is connected to the BD/DVD jack, connect
the audio input to BD/DVD jack, too. Thus, video input jacks and audio input
jacks should have the same name for connection. Note that video signals input to
the VIDEO IN jack are not converted to HDMI video signals. Use an analog video
cable to output video signals from the MONITOR OUT jack of this unit. ( p25)
• To enjoy digital surround playback in formats such as Dolby Digital, you need
to make a connection for audio signals with a digital coaxial cable or a digital
optical cable. ( p28)
When the audio from a device connected using the digital coaxial cable or
digital optical cable is output on this unit, switch the input signal with the
AUDIO SEL button of the remote controller. ( p39)
Setup
• To enjoy digital surround sound including Dolby Digital, set the audio output of
the connected Blu-ray Disc player etc. to the Bitstream output.
