Note
As with all retinal imaging devices, ocular opacity may block the transmission of light and view of the retina
which can then impact the SNR.
3.2.9 Capture using Multi-mode
Multi-mode provides a workflow assistance mode. It allows the operator to perform a defined sequence of
SLO and OCT captures, by stepping through the desired mode settings.
1.
Select Multi-mode and the required laterality.
2. Position the patient, see How to prepare for image capture on page36.
3. Capture the first image. Depending on multi-mode configuration this could be:
a. SLO image capture, see How to capture SLO images on page39.
b. OCT image capture, see How to capture OCT images on page43.
4. Check the quality of the captured image and discard and recapture if required. The device will select
the next image on the list.
3.2.10 Manage the patient session
Before finishing the patient session you should check the required images and scans have been captured.
Image Browser
The Image Browser can be accessed after the first image has been captured. You can check the images and
scans which will be saved at the end of the session. You can change laterality and delete images and scans.
You can review stereo paired images. Continue capturing images until you have a good stereo pair, deleting
and recapturing as necessary.
Patient Session Summary
The Patient Session Summary is displayed when you select Finished Patient. You should check the summary
to confirm the image and laterality counts are as expected. If the session in incomplete or incorrect select
outside the summary to continue the session.
3.3 Review images
To record characteristics and observations of a patient's eye, OptosAdvance has a range of tools for noting
these observations in the patient's electronic medical record.
You can get help reviewing images in the software help files.
