Select OCT and then select the OCT scan type.
FIGURE 13: OCT capture workflow
Use the following procedure for capturing OCT images. You should aim to optimize the scan, see "How to
optimize OCT scan quality" on page45.
1.
Select OCT to display the OCT scan types.
2. Select the required OCT scan type, see Image modalities on page24.
3. Capture an SLO image if one has not already been captured, see How to capture SLO images on
page39.
4. Adjust the scan position on the touch screen to the desired location.
5. Re-align the patient if required, see How to align the patient on page37.
6. Select the live SLOimage on the touch screen or press the top button on the hand control to set up the
OCT. The OCT set up auto-routines will run. Ask the patient to keep their eyes wide open at the start
of the auto-routines. During OCT set up the patient will see the alignment target, tracking scan, and
scan pattern, see The patient's view of OCT alignment on the next page.
7. Check the SNR, center, focus and location and adjust if necessary, see Using the hand control on
page32. Check that the SNR is 8 or greater before capturing the scan.
8. Select the live SLOimage on the touch screen or press the top button on the hand control to capture.
9.
If required, select Press to check OCT quality to replay the scan.
