When the recording paper is loaded on the print head, the shelter plate shuts the sensor light,
and the photo transistor turns OFF. The input signal of IC501-19 pin becomes a high level.
Usually, the shelter plate is lifted, the photo transistorturns ON, and the input signal of IC501-19
pin becomes a low level.

7.7. MODEM SECTION
7.7.1. FUNCTION
The unit uses a 1 chip modem (IC505) that serves as an interface between the control section for
FAX transmission and reception and the telephone line. During a transmitting operation, the
digital image signals are modulatedand sent to the telephone line.
During a receiving operation, the analog image signals which are received via the telephone line
