Chapter 6 Maintenance — Light source/temperature/lter indicators

r When the Smoke Cut Filter (Model No.: ET-SFR330) is attached
Indicator status Status Solution
Lighting in red
f The lter is clogged.
f The runtime of the lter exceeds the
recommended time to replace the
lter.
f The temperature around or outside
the projector is abnormally high.
f Replace the Smoke Cut Filter in the following cases.
g The lter is dirty.
g The recommended time to replace the lter has been exceeded.
f Remove any objects if they are blocking the air intake/exhaust port.
f Do not use the projector at an altitude of 1 400 m (4 593') or higher above
sea level.
Blinking in red f [FILTER TYPE]

is set to [NORMAL]. f Set [FILTER TYPE]

to [SMOKE CUT].
*1 [FILTER TYPE] can be set in the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [FILTER SETTING] → [FILTER TYPE].

f If the lter indicator <FILTER> is still lit or blinking after taking the measures, ask your dealer for repair.

Temperature indicator <TEMP>
Indicator status Status Solution
Lighting in red
f Warm-up status
f Wait ve minutes when the power is turned on while the temperature is low
(approximately 0 °C (32 °F)).
f Install the projector in a location with the operating environment temperature
between 0 °C (32 °F) and 50 °C (122 °F)

(warning).
f Remove any objects if they are blocking the air intake/exhaust port.
f Install the projector in a location with the operating environment temperature

*1 The operating environment temperature should be between 0 °C (32 °F) and 45 °C (113 °F) if the projector is used at an altitude between 1 400 m
(4 593') and 4 200 m (13 780') above sea level. However, when the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [OPERATION SETTING] → [OPERATING
MODE] is set to [LONG LIFE1], [LONG LIFE2], or [LONG LIFE3], the operating environment temperature should be between 0 °C (32 °F) and 45 °C
(113 °F), and when the Smoke Cut Filter is used, it should be between 0 °C (32 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F), regardless of the altitude.
When the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [OPERATION SETTING] → [OPERATING MODE] is set to [LONG LIFE1], [LONG LIFE2], or [LONG
LIFE3], the projector cannot be used at an altitude of 2 700 m (8 858') or higher above sea level. When the Smoke Cut Filter is used, the projector
cannot be used at an altitude of 1 400 m (4 593') or higher above sea level.
*2 Maintenance of the Smoke Cut Filter is not possible. Replace with new one.

f If the temperature indicator <TEMP> is still lit or blinking after taking the measures, ask your dealer for repair.

r When the air lter unit/Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET‑EMF330) is attached
