Operation Description / Function Indication
Setting of transmission mode
In the CONFIG mode, turn on
the power.
Press ENTER key.
Displays the current transmission mode.
Blinks the displayed current transmission mode.
Example
Press key or key.
Selects the transmission mode from the three types (A
mode, B mode and C mode), and then displays the se-
lected mode.
If A mode is

Press ENTER key. Determines the transmission mode. Example
Setting of display to decimal /
hexadecimal number display
Press key.
Displays the code of the decimal / hexadecimal number
setting.
Example
Press ENTER key.
Blinks the displayed code of the decimal / hexadecimal
number setting.
Decimal number
display
Press key or key.
Selects either the decimal or hexadecimal number dis-
play.
Hexadecimal
number display
Press ENTER key.
Determines the display.
If the hexadecimal number display is selected, the
code 'd 16' will appear.
Example
Buffer memory assignment
Press key. Displays the buffer memory assignment pattern. Example
Press ENTER key. Blinks the displayed buffer memory assignment pattern.
If remote I/O as-
signment pattern
is selected:
Press key or key.
Selects the buffer memory assignment pattern: remote I/
O assignment pattern (buffer memory assignment pattern
1) or remote register assignment pattern (buffer memory
assignment pattern 2.)
If remote register
assignment pat-
tern is selected:
Press ENTER key. Determines the buffer memory assignment pattern. Example
Presetting
Press key. Displays the preset value. Example
Press ENTER key. Blinks the displayed preset value.
If the preset value
is '0':
Press key or key. Selects a value to be preset.
If the preset value
is '8':
Press ENTER key.
Determines the preset value.
(If the preset value is '0,' nothing will be changed.)

Setting of number of I/O control
points
Press key. Displays the number of I/O control points. Example
Press ENTER key. Blinks the displayed number of I/O control points.
If 512 points is
selected:
Press key or key.
Selects the number of I/O control points in the range of
32 to 512 points. Selection is possible in increments /
decrements of 32 points.
Note: If the remote I/O assignment (buffer memory as-
signment pattern 1) is used for the SL-VGU1-C,
this range should be 32 to 256.
If 32 points is
selected:
Press ENTER key. Determines the number of I/O control points. Example
