IRIS
On occasion, there may be a requirement for manual control of the iris to change the picture brightness (e.g. to reduce
reflections from a shiny surface). Manually opening the iris to maximum aperture will allow more light to enter the
camera giving a brighter picture. Closing the iris to the minimum aperture will decrease the amount of light entering
the camera giving a darker picture.
1. Press the [SELECT] key until the ‘MAN’ indication light comes on.
2. For a brighter picture, press the large ‘O’ key for the maximum aperture (brighter picture).
3. For a darker picture, press the small ‘o’ key for the minimum aperture (darker picture).
LIGHT SOURCE
The crawler lighting control allows the user to alternate and adjust intensity between camera lights, auxiliary lighthead
(if available) and no lights.
1. To select lights, press the [SELECT] key until the required option is lit:
a. To adjust camera lights, select ‘CAM’.
b. To adjust auxiliary lights, select ‘AUX’.
c. To adjust both lights, select ‘CAM’ & ‘AUX’ indication lights.
d. To turn off all lights, select ‘NONE’
BRIGHTNESS
Use these keys to adjust camera and/or auxiliary lighting taking note which of the above options is selected.
To increase available light, press the large .
To decrease available light, press the small .
NOTE: With the auxiliary lighthead, when both ‘CAM’ & ‘AUX’ are lit the large ‘sun’ key will ramp up the camera
lights, then ramping the auxiliary lights.
SCAN
Pressing the [SCAN] key will cause the camera to centre, pan and roll 360° to scan the area. This will only work when
the green ‘READY’ indication light is lit.
NOTE: This function is not available for fixed forward view cameras.
ELEV
The ELEV keys (previously titled AUX 2) are used to control the powered elevator, if fitted.
CEN
Press [CEN] key to centre the camera.
NOTE: This indication light will not illuminate whilst using fixed forward view cameras.
MIMIC
Toggles the Mimic display options.
JOYSTICK Control
Pan and tilt camera mimic is displayed when a pan & tilt camera is connected to the system. Pan and tilt camera mimic
provides a 2D image of the 3D camera position. The square box acts as a target, use the pendant joystick to position
it and press GO – the camera will move to this point.
NOTE: Joystick function is not available for fixed forward view cameras.
