Notes on setting “F step other than A”
When the “F step other than A” in the custom functions is set to “On”, the
shutter can be released even if the aperture ring of an attached lens is not
set to the A
position. However, the features will be restricted as shown in
the table below.

position. The shutter speed varies

Pictures can be taken with the
specified aperture value and
shutter speed, however, the built-
in light meter does not operate,
therefore, the exposure cannot be
evaluated. Aperture value
displays [F--] in the viewfinder and
[AV--] on the LCD panel.
All lenses Metered Manual Pictures can be taken with the
aperture value manually specified,
however, an exposure error may
occur. Aperture value displays
[F--] in the viewfinder and [AV--]
on the LCD panel.
