Emissions Warranty
The 1206E-E66TA diesel engine is a nonroad
compression ignition engine. Perkins Engine
Company l
imited warrants to the initial owner and to
the subsequent owner of the 1206E-E66TA diesel
engine that such an engine is:
1. Designed, built, and equipped so that the engine
conforms, at the time of sale, with all applicable
regulat
ions adopted by the United States
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
2. Free fr
om defects in materials and workmanship
in specific emission-related parts for the following
period:
•
The warranty period is for 3000 hours or for 5
years, whichever occurs first. After the date of
deliv
ery to the owner that operates the engine.
If an emission-related part fails during any of the
warra
nty periods, the part will be repaired or replaced.
Any such part repaired or replaced under warranty is
warranted for the remainder of the warranty period.
During the term of this warranty, Perkins Engine
Company limited will provide through a Perkins
dist
ributor or your Perkins dealer or other
establishment authorized by Perkins Engine
Company limited , repair or replacement of any
war
ranted part at no charge to the engine owner.
In an emergency, repairs may be performed at
any
service establishment, or by the owner, using
any replacement part. Perkins recommended that
emission-related parts be replaced with genuine
Pe
rkins Engine Company limited parts.
Perkins Engine
Company limited will reimburse the
owner. This reimbursement will include diagnostic
charges for such an emergency repair. These
expenses shal
l not exceed the Perkins Engine
Company limited suggested retail price for all
warranted parts replaced, and labor charges based
on Perkins En
gine Company limited recommended
time allowance for the warranty repair and the
geographically appropriate hourly labor rate.
As a condition of reimbursement, replaced parts and
receipted invoices must be presented at a place of
business of
a Perkins distributor or your Perkins
dealer. Or other establishment authorized by Perkins
Engine Company limited
This warranty covers the following emission-related
parts and components:
•
Turbocharger System
•
Inlet Man
ifold
•
Fuel Injection System
•
Crankcase Ventilation System
•
Electro
nic Engine Control System
•
Engine Aftertreatment System
•
NOx Reduction System
•
Aftert
reatment Regeneration Device
•
Miscellaneous valves, switches, hoses, clamps,
conne
ctors, tubing, and sealing devices that are
used in the above systems
Limit
ations and Responsibilities
The warranty is subject to the following conditions:
Perkins Engine Company limited Responsibilities
Duri
ng the emission warranty period, if a defect in
material or workmanship of an emission-related part
or component is found, Perkins Engine Company
lim
ited will provide the following:
•
New, Remanufactured or repaired parts and/or
com
ponents, approved pursuant to EPA
Regulations, required to correct the defect.
•
Re
asonable and customary labor, during normal
working hours that is required to make the warranty
repair. This will include labor in order to remove an
en
gine and install the engine, if necessary.
