2-20 Efficia CM Series Data Export Guide
The following table describes each field in the MSA segment.
MDIL Coding
The Efficia CM Series monitors use numeric codes from the Medical Device Interface
Language (MDIL) standard to uniquely identify parameters, unit sources, and alarms.
Parameters and Unit Sources
To identify parameters and unit sources, the MDIL coding system uses identifiers of the
following format:
<Partition>-<TermCode>
The values for the Partition and TermCode are hexadecimal values between 0x0000 and
0xffff, which are separated in the output with a “-” character.
Partition may be one of the following values:
0x0002 - SCADA partition
0x0401 - EMFC partition
0x0004 - Dimension partition (for units)
Note — The label strings are provided in English only. The strings are not translated into
other languages. Philips recommends that for parameter identification, use the
numeric parameter identifiers instead of parameter labels.
