Message Description
QRY Query. The receiving system (server) sends a QRY message to the Efficia CM Series
monitor requesting patient data.
ORF Observation Reporting. The monitor sends an ORF message in reply to the QRY
message. The ORF message contains the patient data and vital signs measurements.
ACK There are two types of Acknowledgement messages:
Negative ACK: If the QRY is invalid or if there is no data to export, the monitor
sends a Negative ACK to the server. If the server finds an error in the exported
record, it sends a Negative ACK to the monitor.
Positive ACK: The server sends this message back to the Efficia CM Series
monitor to acknowledge that the ORF message was received and validated.
