Observation Reporting (ORF) Message Syntax
Patient Visit (PV1) Segment
The PV1 segment in the ORF message identifies the location ID, patient type and
transaction (visit) ID.
Example:
This PV1 segment shows that the patient’s bed is at LOCATION34. The patient is an adult
and the visit ID is TRANSACTION1234.
