Observation Reporting (ORF) Message Syntax
Observation Reporting (ORF) Message Syntax
The Observation Reporting (ORF) message is used to report patient data as a reply to a
query. It may contain any of the following information:
Patient information
Medical Record Number (MRN) or other ID used as the patient identifier
First Name
Middle Name
Last Name
Gender
Age
Height
Weight
Monitor Name
Location ID (also called Bed ID)
Transaction ID (also called Visit Number, Account Number, Finance Number (FIN))
Operator ID
Department
Admit Time
All parameters currently available on the monitor
Note — The person configuring the monitor specifies which patient identifiers are
required or optional, and selects the primary identifier. For information about
configuring patient IDs, see the Efficia CM Series Patient Monitors Series
