Conventions
This section describes the conventions used in this guide.
Text Formatting
The following typographical conventions are used in this guide.
Decimal Points
Because the Efficia CM Series monitor uses a period (.) to indicate a decimal point in
decimal numbers (for example, 10.0), all decimal numbers in this guide use a period as a
decimal point. Commas are not use as decimal points.
Notes, Cautions, and Warnings
This guide uses the following conventions for Notes, Cautions, and Warnings.
Note — A Note calls attention to an important point in the text.
Caution A Caution calls attention to a condition or possible situation that could damage or
destroy the product or the user’s work.
Warning A Warning calls attention to a condition or possible situation that could cause injury
to the user and/or patient.
