To send a PTT broadcast:
• To broadcast on a channel from standby mode, press and hold the Talk button.
Wait for the display to show Transmitting. Hold the handset microphone approximately two
inches from your mouth and speak. A Call cell opens in the Session Manager with a blue call icon.
When you release the Talk button, the handset enters a ten-second wait period during which the
channel is open to receive or send additional broadcasts. If no activity occurs within the wait
period, the cell is closed. A waiting cell displays an orange call icon.
