A.5.2 PSV-A-CL-xxx Micro Scan Lenses
A.5.2.1 Introduction
The micro scan lenses allow to scan objects with a detail size from 11µm at
maximum stand-off distance. A special feature of the micro scan lenses is that
the laser beam nearly perpendicular meets the measurement surface as also
shown in the following figure for the PSV-A-CL-150. Without loss of signal
quality, mirror like objects can be scanned up to a tilt of ±4°.
Figure A.7: Operating principle of the micro scan lenses
A.5.2.2 Assembly
Remove the protective cap of the objective of the close-up unit and screw the
micro scan lens onto the objective.
A.5.2.3 Operation
If you use the micro scan lenses, the autofocus of the PSV-I-500 scanning
head only works with limitations. If you carry out an autofocus over the whole
focus range, the focus will generally be set on the lens surface instead of the
object.
To carry out an autofocus, proceed as follows:
1. Manually focus on the object.
2. Carry out an autofocus with limited focus range by holding the Ctrl key
pressed while clicking Autofocus in the software.
For further information on focusing refer to the software manual.
