8. Use the quick release plate to position the video camera onto the geared
head.
The safety lever clicks into place automatically.
9. Ensure that the quick release plate is attached all the way around. This
needs to be done before the video camera is ready to use.
CAUTION!
Damage caused by unsecured quick release plate ! Snap the quick release plate all the
way round. Press the safety lever to the end position. Only then you can use the scanning
head.

To connect the video camera, plug the IEEE-1394 cable (FireWire®) into the
IEEE interface on the back of the video camera and into a free IEEE interface
on the back of the PC.
