7. After cleaning the Maintenance Unit, close the top cover.
Head-cleaning starts after restart, after which the machine returns to the usual condition.
Auto Head Maint.
You can clean the print head nozzles automatically. If the message prompting you to provide regular
maintenance appears, clean the print head.
Do not put your hands inside the machine while cleaning of the print head nozzles is
automatically performed. Your fingers may be trapped and injured inside the machine.
You cannot reuse the absorbent. After using it, be sure to dispose it properly.
If you have not cleaned the maintenance unit, proceed to clean it.
1. Attach the two absorbents to the cleaning tool, and then use the dropper to moisten the
absorbent with the cleaning liquid.
Use the dropper to suck cleaning liquid up to the scale 2 on the dropper. Use half of this for each
absorbent swab.
Be sure to moisten the absorbent with the cleaning liquid until the absorbent is completely wet.
