7.PeriodicInspectionandMaintenance
CAUTION
Maintenance operationsare for the average normal use of the Robotiq Palletizing Solution.
Maintenance intervalsshould be adjusted according to the environmental conditions.
Following maintenance intervalswill ensure:
l
The correct functioning of the equipment
l
The validity of the warranty
l
The prescribed lifetime of the equipment.
l
The safe operation of the equipment
WARNING
Take all safety measures during maintenance operationson the Robotiq Palletizing Solution. Please
refer to the Safetysection for additional information.
CAUTION
l
Alwaysturn off the Palletizing Solution and depressurize the air supply tube before performing any
maintenance operation. For more details about the depressurization, please refer to the
Depressurizing the SupplyLine section.
l
The Palletizing Solution is not waterproof or water resistant without additional protection. Clean the
equipment with a dry towel.
l
Maintenance operators must be grounded to prevent electrostatic discharge that could damage
electronic equipments.
7.1.PowerOff andLockOff Procedure
WARNING
The power off and lock out procedure must be followed before performing any maintenance or
inspection operation on the equipment.
Pneumatic power should be shut off and locked out upstream of the solution, or completely disconnected.
The system must be depressurized before performing maintenance operationson the solution. The way the system is
depressurized will depend on the gripper used.
When using the PowerPick20 Vacuum Gripper, simply activate the vacuum or blow off output, and wait for the pressure to drop
completely.
