5 Performing a Test
What you need:
■ Accutrend Plus meter
■ Test strip for selected test parameter* with matching code strip:
– Accutrend Glucose
– Accutrend Triglycerides
– Accutrend Cholesterol
– BM-Lactate
■ Lancing device:
– Patient Self-Testers: Use a lancing device appropriate for personal use (for example,
the Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device from Roche).
– Healthcare Professionals: Use an auto-disabling single-use lancing device for each
patient. The lancing device must be intended for use by healthcare professionals in a mul-
tiple patient setting (for example, the Accu-Chek Safe-T-Pro Plus lancing device from
Roche). Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
■ Alcohol or cellulose pad, if required
* Note: Not all tests are available in all countries.
WARNING
Protection against infection
Any object coming into contact with human blood is a potential source of
infection.
Patient Self-Testers: There is a potential risk of infection if you let other
people use your meter or lancing device. Do not share your meter or
lancing device with any other person.
