Powering on the meter
1 Place the meter on a level surface or hold
it in your hand. Power on the meter by
pressing the On/Off button .
Note: To power the instrument off again,
press and hold the On/Off button until
the meter powers off.
2 Check that all of the display elements are
displayed properly. Results may be mis-
read if a segment is missing.
3 Check the battery level. If the battery icon
appears outside the display test, you will
only be able to perform a few more tests.
When the display test is complete, the
meter displays the most recent code
stored. If no code has been stored in the
meter so far, you will see the display
shown on the left.
The flashing icon codenr instructs you to
insert a code strip.
