If the displayed result (particularly when blood glucose is measured) does not match the way you
feel or seems to be unusually high or low, perform a control test using control solution and a new
test strip (see description starting on page 55). If this check confirms proper functioning of the
meter, please read again the instructions on how to perform a test (starting on page 31). Perform
another test using a new test strip. If this result does not seem plausible either, please consult
your doctor.
Disposal of used items after testing with blood
Patient Self-Testers
Discard the used test strip with your regular household waste.
Healthcare Professionals
If you do not want to flag the measurement
result with an event or as a control test, the
measurement is now complete.
14 Open the measurement chamber flap and
remove the test strip.
15 Keep the On/Off button pressed until
the meter powers off.
Clean the meter if necessary (see descrip-
tion starting on page 71).
WARNING
Dispose of used lancets carefully (e.g. use a sturdy sharps container with
lid) so that the needles cannot cause injury to yourself or to others.
