Alternatively, the Patient ID can also be entered using
the built-in barcode scanner

. Touch Scan and scan
the patient barcode from a distance of approx. 10-20 cm
(4-8 inches), according to the barcode size.
The meter beeps once the barcode has been read suc-
cessfully. The barcode information appears in the patient
ID field. The scanner turns off after 10 seconds, if a bar-
code is not scanned.
