Testing a Capillary Blood Sample

10 Now lance the side of a fingertip with the
lancing device.
11 Massage the lanced finger until a drop of
blood is formed.
12 Apply the first drop of blood from the finger
to the test strip.
We recommend obtaining the capillary blood
from the side of the fingertip as this causes the
least pain.
CAUTION
Do not press or squeeze the finger.
