Setting:

Step
Size:
N/A
The
carrier
frequency
controls
the
width
of
the
pulse
and
keeps
the
current
smooth
to
the
motor.
This
parameter
can
compensate
for
acoustic
noise,
heating,
and
other
current
problems
by
adjusting
the
switching
frequency
of
the
transistors
in
the
inverter
section.
Keeping
the
carrier
frequency
at
4kHz
maximizes
the
continuous
power
rating
of
the
drive
with,
generally,
an
acceptable
acoustic
noise
level
from
the motor.
Increasing
the
carrier
frequency
reduces
the
acoustic
noise,
but
in
some
applications
this
can
result
in
derating
of
the
drive
output
amps.
(Refer
to
table
2.2
for
the
derated
ratings
at
the
various
carrier
frequencies).

Normally,
the
maximum
speed
reference
(the
amount
of
reference
at
maximum
speed,
F-04)
is
either
10
VDC
or
20
mA.
The
reference

is
used
to
scale
the
speed

another

(for

9.5

19
