The at table moves, and media height detection starts. The at table lifts while moving backward and
forward until the media reaches a position where it comes in contact with the media gap sensor.
The media’s height will be set automatically to a position about 1 mm (0.04 in) away from the print head's
ink emission surface.
When the at table stops moving, the screen shown on the left ap-
pears. When one short beep is heard, the setup is complete. Proceed
to
P. 17, "Choosing How to Specify the Print Area".
Note: Check the height of the media again.
The following step moves the at table rearward. Check again that the height of the media has been
adjusted so that the media does not come in contact with the media gap sensor. If the media hits the
media gap sensor, the media may be damaged or the head gap sensor may fail.
