6. Go over the number of controllers and make sure there is no conflict between
the units (make sure 2 units do not receive the same configuration number).
7. If everything is ok;
a) For 232/485 card – make sure the wiring is ok
b) For RF card – check the signal strength

o Troubleshooting
1. Make sure the Communicator is connected to an electric power supply.
2. Press hot key 0 and check if either some of the controllers are missing (blank
squares), or all of them.
3. Go to menu 1.4 (see Fig. 3 according to the communication card) and test
communication with the unit.
4. If 232/485 communication card is being used, check the baud rate in both
sides.
5. If RF communication card is being used, check Additional Channel Setting.
6. Go over the number of controllers and make sure there is no conflict between
the units (make sure 2 units receive the same configuration number).
7. If everything is ok;
a) For 232/485 card – make sure the wiring is ok
b) For RF card – check the signal strength
Problem Description
No Local Communication with PC
Troubleshooting
If the LED does not flash, it is not the right computer port.
3. In case of USB, reinstall the driver attached on the CD (see Appendix D).
1. Check that the serial port baud rate matches the PC baud rate.
2. Go to Computer Port list. 'Com 1 RD' LED should flash on the front panel.
Test the communicator through RotemNet software.
